circle y circumference = 282.6
z = 15
solve for x.
if it looks like points intersect, they do.

2.
Namandra is baking delicious chocolate chip cookies for the kohf party. She bakes in 1 gram of sodium cyanide. Assuming the sodium cyanide is evenly distributed in the 88 cookies and all the 22 kohf partygoers eat the same number of cookies, which guildies have a higher than 50% chance of dying?

3.
Grymm is parked in by an evil stranger. assuming the strangers car is 8 feet long, 5 feet high and 5 feet wide, with the 1000 lb of weight evenly distributed flat on the ground, (for all purposes related to this question assume the car is a rectangle), how much weight will grymm have to lift to flip the car on its side? (bonus: how much for on its rear?)(bonusbonus: how much if the car is 6 inches off the ground? (like on tires))

4.
Identify all the creatures on this paper. (hint: they all start with the letter A)

yeah, I can't figure out 10 either...

And for 2. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Selaara is a goner. Anyone that small could probably be killed by a light breeze or something.

if it looks like points intersect, they do.

circumference = 2 * pi * radius
c = 2pi * y
y = c / (2pi)

y is parallel to the line above it which looks like a tangent. that would make three sides of a square. if it's a square, the vertical line through the smaller circle is equal to y, and you can find the diameter of the small circle.

d = y - z

the line below x, which is at a right angle to d, looks like the radius of both circles. If that is true then the two small circles are equal. The line x is equal to the radius of the right small circle, which means the line below x is equal to x. The top-most point of x looks like the intersection of x and the two circles. If you were to draw a line from the center of the left circle to that point, that line would also be equal to x, and you'd have completed an equilateral triangle.

r = d / 2
x = r

x = (y - z) / 2

that only works if you assume the line which is parallel to y is tangential to the big circle, which you can't normally assume. but it looks like it is! so it is.

I think african swallow is a win. Not his fault you wanted some dumb bird but clearly drew an african swallow of known air speed velocity.

Acute toxicity of cyanide is approximately 1 mg/L

Approximately 1000 mg / 22 = 45.5 mg per cookie

Assuming that the bloodstream is the vessel for the toxic attack, the amount of blood a person has in liters is roughly one eleventh of their body weight in pounds.

45.5 L * 11 = 501 lbs.

Yeah, not even Lisk could survive this one...fatty.

As consolation though, cyanide is toxic to handle (it is absorbed through the skin and deadly after a couple hours without treatment) so we'll at least be taking Namandra with us!

I have to ask. Are you sure Acute toxicity applies to one organ (like the blood) instead of total mass? Because the LD50 of cyanide is around 1mg/kg... and 1L of water is 1kg... so... i dunno. It seems the LD50 is based off of total mass, which would lead me to believe that your acute toxicity figure would be the same.

Auks are birds of the family Alcidae in the order Charadriiformes. They are superficially similar to penguins due to their black-and-white colours, their upright posture and some of their habits. Nevertheless they are not closely related to the penguins, but rather are an example of moderate convergent evolution.

OR

It could be the Atlantic puffin. But the beaks are rather small.

If I remember right, cyanide kills by starving the heart and brain of oxygen. So the blood is where the actual poisoning occurs. It might be mitigated by body weight, but I couldn't find any data on that.

And now I'm probably on several watch lists for researching cyanide poisoning. Oh noes!
