I don't really listen to music on my desktop, im not on my computer much now adays anyway.

The little time I spend on it nowadays is either checking e-mail, checking here, or reading the occasional manga (usually the 3-4 new releases of chapters on the weekend)

I'd recommend The Olympians series. They're short, since they're written for kids, but I was surprisingly very pleased with them. Hopefully, the length of the books would translate well to the films, not having to make too many artistic liberties or edits. If you're into ancient Greek myths they're worth picking up.

My only hesitation with the upcoming movie is that there are too many big names attached to it. Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Rosario Dawson - they all have roles in the films playing gods/goddesses/monster. They're a big chunk of the budget for people who will only have a few minutes of screen time.

simple solution to budget issues of a burgeoning series...Pull out all the stops on the first one, make it mindblowingly new and edgy and thought invoking, and make sure every audience member leaves begging for the upcoming sequals..

Then follow this up by adhering to awful cliches that would doom careers like ending the second film with a "to be continued"...
